VISA REQUIREMENTS FOR UMRAH 2021 / 2022
All documents must be Submitted Scanned 300Dpi Color. (Originals Only required for Non-Canadian)
Documents must be sent a minimum of 2 weeks prior to your departure date:
- Applicant must submit an Original readable passport with a validity of at least six (6) months. (Only CANADIAN Passport Holder – Scanned 300dpi)
- For Non-Canadian:
- PR Card (Original – by hand or Mail and Scanned 300dpi Email)
- for Mahram Either (Birth Certificate for Son shows Name of the Mother and Father) (Original – by hand or Mail and Scanned 300dpi Email)
- Married Couple (Both passport including Marriage Certificate) (Original – by hand or Mail and Scanned 300dpi Email)
- Applicant must Color photograph (Scanned 300dpi Email)
(The photograph must be a full face view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera directly. Side or angled views are NOT accepted.)
- All women are required to travel for Umrah with a Mahram. Proof of kinship must be submitted with the application form.(Attested – Notarized)
- Women over the age of forty five (45) may travel without a Mahram with a group, they must, however submit a no objection letter from her husband, son or brother authorizing her to travel for Umrah with the named group. (Notarized)
- Immunization Card showing Vaccination – (Menveo ACYW-135) for adults. Meningitis and POLIO record for children under 15 years old. Two doses of (A) vaccine (1 to 2 months between each dose for children ages 3-24 months). Cholera is highly recommended. Make sure to take the health certificate to Saudi Arabia. - Umrah visas will only be granted once the authorities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia have approved the applicant’s request.
- The validity of the Umrah visa is one month. The length of stay in the Kingdom will depend on the duration of the Umrah program chosen by the applicant.
- Minors (under 18 years of age) will not be granted an Umrah visa if not accompanied by their family and traveling with one parent must submit a notarized letter of authorization, in either in Arabic or English, signed by either parents or legal guardians.
- If the applicant has converted to Islam, he/she should provide an Islamic certificate notarized by an Islamic Center. (Attested – Notarized)
Proof of relationship:
- For parent – son or daughter relationship, provide a Long birth certificate or if the FULL name of the parent is on the son or daughter’s passport then it is accepted. (Notarized)
- For husband and wife: marriage certificate ONLY The marriage certificate must be stamped from a notary and it must be in English, Arabic, or French. Any other language must be translated. (Notarized)
- Confirm airline ticket: from Canada to Saudi and from Saudi to Canada.
- Pilgrims who have non-Muslim names must have a statement from any Islamic center showing their conversion to Islam. (Original) along with copy (Notarized)
- Non-Canadian applicants must submit a clear photocopy for both side of the Permanent Residence card. (Notarized)
For Women Traveling alone, the following is required:
- She has to be over 45 years old.
- A permission letter from husband signed and stamped by notary. (Notarized)
- A copy of ID showing signature of Mahrem (passport or driver license).
